Carubians - Bio
Carubians are a children's music band and Youtube puppet show from the fantastical island of Carubia: a place where everything you touch turns into music!
With original songs composed by Belfast singer-songwriter Owen Denvir, backing vocals by Sasha Samara and illustrations by Thomas Bannon, Carubians are dedicated to creating playful and imaginative music that teaches listeners important life lessons while sparking their creativity - for the young, and young at heart!
Meet the Carubians

Big O
Intrument: Ukulele
Favourite colour: Blue
Favourite thing: Sausages
Address: Banana 🍌, Fruit Village, Carubia
Always confused and forever distracted, Big O is an extremely dependable friend (when he can remember what he's supposed to be doing).
Lovably naive and emotionally unperceptive, Big O is usually the last person to understand what’s going on. Thankfully his lifelong friend Tara is usually nearby to keep him in the loop.
His ukulele and singing abilities put him in tune with the vibrations of Carubia, which channel through him the many centuries of knowledge and secrets held within the island. Just don’t ask if he knows what any of it means.
Tara
Instrument: Keytar & Bass
Favourite colour: Red
Favourite thing: Running
Address: Coconut 🥥, Fruit Village, Carubia

What happens when an unstoppable force meets a musical object? Then you get Tara!
A strong-willed straight-talker, Tara loves nothing more than diving head-first into adventure and pandemonium, sparing no thought toward safety or preservation.
Her infinite energy can sometimes come across as brash, though she never means any ill will, even having limitless patience for her oldest and dearest friend: Big O.
A keen keytar player and singer, she too can harness the musical energy of Carubia into chaos and calm (but usually chaos).
